Mrs Davinia Khan (MA) – Prinicpal & Artistic Director
Fresh Arts was founded by Davinia Khan who trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Davinia is an actress and has done extensive work for the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Young Vic Theatre, The Arcola Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, Northampton Royal and Derngate Theatre, Bristol Old Vic, West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Northern Stage and Granada Television.
Davinia has developed all of the programmes and the syllabus at Fresh Arts Theatre School to build the confidence, creativity and skills of every child.
Mr Pierre Khan – Managing Director & Co-Founder
Pierre is passionate about the arts, theatre and most of all helping young people and adults to reach their full potential. His aim is to ensure the classes are accessible and to give a wide range of opportunities at an affordable price so that every child can participate.
At Fresh Arts Theatre School we believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in the arts without cost being a barrier. We provide a supportive and friendly environment for children to make new friends, practice their speech and develop their innate talents. The arts have huge potential to build children’s creativity, confidence and sense of empowerment and we believe that every child should have the opportunity to join in.
To achieve these aims we have a two-strand approach. The first is our weekend theatre schools where children participate in a traditional theatre school format doing termly showings and participating in drama, dance and singing classes. In this strand children have the opportunity to take LAMDA speech and drama exams, ABRSM and LCM singing exams. They also have access to professional opportunities through our sister agency Fresh Talent Group. We heavily subsidise this strand and it is offered at half of the price of other traditional stage schools
Our second way of reaching London’s children is through our school and nursery workshops. We work in partnership with schools to use our unique approach to introduce speech and drama, dance and movement and singing and music into the curriculum.
We hand-pick all of our staff from the UK’s top theatre schools and conservatories. All of our staff are trained to support the children’s development and are passionate about inspiring a love for the arts in children.
All of our workshop leaders are fully DBS checked with First aid training and on site fire marshal for each Saturday school site.
